Job summary

Amphenol Corporation in Nashua, NH seeks a Senior Process Engineer to lead manufacturability improvements and new product introductions in high-speed interconnect manufacturing. You will influence design for assembly, develop tooling, and partner with cross-functional teams to deliver robust processes.

You will own process development, yield improvements, and safety assessments, while coordinating with suppliers, automation vendors, and internal IE teams to meet cost and quality targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline with 5+ years in connectors preferred.
• Knowledge of progressive stamping, lead-frame molding and assembly processes.
• Ability to read drawings and interpret technical procedures.
• Experience with DFMs, FMEAs, and risk assessment activities.
• Proficient with Creo, SolidWorks, AutoCAD; automation and electrical controls; MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Develop assembly concepts, write scope of work, design and deploy tooling and automation.
• Collaborate with suppliers for prototypes, pilot production and high-volume automation deployment.
• Integrate product design with assembly processes to improve manufacturability.
• Develop and document assembly processes, spare parts, and preventative maintenance plans.
• Prepare equipment and systems specifications.
• Define cycle times, efficiencies, and yields with dynamic modeling as needed.
• Define process steps, material handling and preliminary layouts.
• Work on Product/Process DFMs, FMEAs and risk assessment activities.
• Define critical parameters related to tolerances and process functions.
• Evaluate safety and occupational health for processes.
• Provide cost and operational criteria for tooling justification.
• Propose cost reduction for mature assembly processes.
