Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions in Nashua, NH is seeking a Senior Product Engineer to lead technical efforts across one or more connector product lines. You will plan, design, and validate products, collaborating with engineering, sales, and manufacturing to ensure performance and reliability.

The role requires a strong foundation in mechanical/electrical engineering, GD&T, and proficiency with solid modeling and analytical tools.

Qualifications

BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or Electrical Engineering
5+ years of related experience in product engineering
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Basic to good understanding of GD&T methodologies
Experience with solid modeling tools (Pro/E) and FEA tools a plus
Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical people
Ability to travel ~10% domestic and international

Responsibilities

Serve as the technical expert for one or more connector product lines
Plan and manage complex technical projects from design to manufacture
Provide direction to engineers and support personnel
Support sales and marketing with technical product information
Lead design reviews, testing, and qualification activities
Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing teams on prototypes and production transitions
Conduct tolerance analysis, material evaluation, and failure analysis as needed
Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements
