Barriere Construction, a CRH Company, seeks an experienced Asphalt Plant Operator to join our North Shore Asphalt team. You will balance daily plant schedules, supervise truck dispatch, and work with quality control to ensure mix specifications are met.

This role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced outdoor setting; evening/weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders under high stress situations.
• High attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task and handle high stress situations.
• Proficient use of basic reading, writing and mathematical calculations.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in road or construction field working outdoors.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate and dispatch trucks in the yard (50%).
• Read meters and gauges; verify operating conditions.
• Maintain logs and write production reports; ensure safety.
• Load trucks safely and process tickets/paperwork.
• Create daily plant schedule based on mix needs and capacity.
• Collaborate with quality control to ensure asphalt meets specs.
