Job description

We're looking for a Senior ASIC Verification Engineer to work within our GPU memory subsystem team!

NVIDIA is seeking an experienced Pre-silicon ASIC Verification Engineer to verify the design of memory subsystem components in the world’s leading GPUs and SOCs. These continually evolving, complex blocks present new verification challenges in the areas of caches, coherency, pipelines, networks, and arbitration - if these challenges appeal to you, please apply!

The position offers the opportunity to have real impact in a dynamic, technology-focused company impacting product lines ranging from datacenters to consumer graphics to self-driving cars to the growing field of AI.

What you'll be doing:

  1. You will be a key, contributing member of our GPU ASIC memory subsystem team responsible for the pre-silicon verification of our ASIC design, architecture, and golden models.
  2. The team is responsible for functional and performance verification using advanced tools and methodologies and your ideas are welcome! Gain a deep understanding of this critical IP's design and implementation. As new features are added, you will collaborate with other talented engineers to define verification scope, develop verification infrastructure, and verify the correctness of the design.
  3. Continue to develop and advance your verification skills while working with a talent pool of GPU architects, ASIC designers, and pre- and post-silicon verification engineers.

What we need to see:

  1. Degree in CompE, EE, CS, or equivalent experience
  2. BS and 5+ years of relevant experience or MS and 3+ years of relevant experience
  3. ASIC verification experience including development of verification strategy, test plans, tests, testbench components as well as regression triage, debug, and coverage closure
  4. Expertise in System Verilog or similar HVL
  5. Experience with industry standard design, verification, and debug tools

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  1. Strong, applied analytical thought process and debug skills
  2. Experience with caches, coherency, complex pipelines, arbiters, or interconnect networks
  3. Have crafted test bench environments for unit and/or system level verification, especially components that have been used in multiple levels of verification.
  4. Strong programming and scripting experience in C/C++, Perl, or Python that uses suitable algorithms, data structures, and error handling
  5. Demonstrated mentoring skills, especially supporting new, junior engineers

NVIDIA is widely considered to be one of the technology world’s most desirable employers. We have some of the most forward-thinking and hardworking people in the world working for us. Are you a creative and autonomous engineer who loves a challenge? Come join our GPU ASIC Verification team and help us build future architectures that will continue to drive us forward in the fields of computing, graphics and AI.

The base salary range is 136,000 USD - 264,500 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.

You will also be eligible for equity and benefits. NVIDIA accepts applications on an ongoing basis.
