Who We Are

The Common Hardware Group (CHG) delivers silicon, optics, and hardware platforms for Cisco's core Switching, Routing, and Wireless products. We craft networking hardware for Enterprises, Service Providers, the Public Sector, and Non-Profit Organizations worldwide. Cisco Silicon One (#CiscoSiliconOne) is the only unifying silicon architecture in the market, enabling deployment from top-of-rack (TOR) switches to web-scale data centers, across service providers, enterprise networks, and data centers with a fully unified routing and switching portfolio.

Who You'll Work With

You will collaborate with talented ASIC development teams specializing in design, DV, DFT, physical design, and post-silicon validation. The team includes micro-architects, front-end designers, and verification engineers. Cisco's system-oriented approach allows you to work with System and Software teams throughout the product lifecycle, from sample arrival to system validation and first customer shipment.

What You'll Do
  • Participate in ASIC design verification for Cisco high-end switching products.
  • Develop simulation models, test plans, conduct direct and random tests, and perform coverage and performance analysis.
  • Collaborate with hardware, software designers, and vendors.
Who You Are
  • You can handle moderate scope problems involving multiple modules, work under supervision, and follow established procedures.
  • You understand product-level architecture.
  • You exercise judgment within standards and consult with management.
  • You promote collaboration within the team.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical, computer science, or computer engineering with 7 years of related experience or Master's with 5 years of related experience.
  • Experience in SystemVerilog/UVM.
  • Experience with ASIC design, verification processes, debugging, methodology, and tools.
  • Experience verifying blocks, clusters, or full-chip ASICs.
Preferred
  • Post-silicon lab bring-up experience.
  • Knowledge of Linux; proficiency in C/C++ and Python/Perl preferred.
  • Knowledge of Networking.
  • Experience with Formal verification.
