Job summary

Chelsea Search Group is seeking a Senior High-Reliability Microelectronics Applications Engineer (remote) to serve as a technical bridge between design teams, customers, and business development. The role requires deep IC design and characterization knowledge, with strong communication skills to support customer engagements and create comprehensive documentation.

You will drive product documentation, datasheets, and application guides; support design reviews; conduct silicon characterization;

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field; MS preferred
• Proven ability to develop technical datasheets and application documentation
• Experience translating complex tech to customer-facing content

Responsibilities

• Create detailed technical specifications, characterization data, and application guidelines
• Develop and maintain product datasheets for ASIC and standard offerings
• Document electrical characteristics, timing diagrams, functional descriptions, and package info
• Produce application notes, design guides, and reference designs for customer success
• Conduct design reviews and guide IC integration and system-level implementation
• Deliver technical presentations and training to customers and field applications engineers
• Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support to customers and internal teams
• Troubleshoot customer design issues and propose solutions
• Analyze silicon measurement data and validate performance against specs
• Define IC characterization test plans across process, voltage, and temperature corners
• Support failure analysis and root-cause investigations
• Collaborate with product marketing to define positioning and advantages
• Interface with IC design teams to understand features and use cases
