Job summary

Stellar Consulting Solutions, LLC seeks an AS400 Developer in Monroe Township, NJ for a contract role. The Sr Programmer/Analyst will design and develop new applications and maintain existing ones, collaborating with Operations and business partners.

The role focuses on modernizing brownfield systems, improving productivity in the distribution center, and delivering reliable IT solutions within budget and timeline constraints.

Qualifications

• 8+ years hands-on RPG development on iSeries and AS/400 systems.
• Experience with DB2 on IBM i and relational databases.
• Proficiency with SQL, stored procedures, triggers, and user-defined functions.
• Knowledge of logistics/fulfillment processes and warehouse systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Works with DC Operations to identify improvements that boost productivity and reduce costs.
• Modernizes brownfield applications to align with current industry patterns and practices.
• Analyzes system data with DC Operations to define issues and enhancements and provide solutions.
• Delivers business solution design across a wide range of technologies.
• Provides technical input to the development team and IT management while supporting end users.
• Ensures applications and processes are well-documented, tested, and reliable.
• Designs solutions meeting business requirements and constraints of time and budget.
• Works independently with minimal supervision.
