Job summary

You will work with RPG IV and ILE RPG, refactor code, troubleshoot production issues, and collaborate with business stakeholders to deliver practical solutions, with strong documentation and testing involvement.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of RPG IV or ILE RPG development on the IBM i/AS/400 platform.
• Experience enhancing, refactoring, or modernizing RPG applications.
• Experience using GitHub for source-code management and team collaboration.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and application-support practices.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with business and technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance RPG IV and ILE RPG applications on IBM i.
• Analyze and refactor existing RPG code to improve performance, maintainability, and application design.
• Use GitHub for source control, collaboration, and code management.
• Troubleshoot production issues, debug applications, and implement ongoing enhancements.
• Partner with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather requirements and deliver practical solutions.
• Create and maintain technical documentation throughout the development lifecycle.
• Support application testing, deployment, and knowledge-transfer activities.
