Job summary

The Florida Panthers Hockey Club is seeking a Security Manager at Amerant Bank Arena to lead the Security Department, overseeing a team of full-time staff and hundreds of event-day personnel. You will plan, direct, and supervise all security functions to ensure a safe, secure guest experience across event and non-event days.

You will manage credentialing, access control, CCTV, emergency plans, and collaborations with local authorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, crisis management, sports management, or related field.
• 7+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 4+ years of managerial-level experience in security or event operations.
• Experience managing large distributed workforces in live events or venues.
• Strong knowledge of arena security, safety regulations, and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Manage all 24/7 security operations for the arena across event and non-event days.
• Plan and direct event-day staffing, post assignments, and shift supervision.
• Support part-time supervisors with direction and performance feedback.
• Collaborate with Director of Security on event-day prep and checklists.
• Develop programs to ensure guest, employee, performer, and partner safety.
• Oversee credentialing and access control across all zones.
• Manage 24/7 checkpoint/patrol software for full-time guards.
• Oversee CCTV operations and coordinate with vendors for maintenance.
• Maintain and update access controls and related security systems.
• Track inventory of uniforms and security equipment; manage purchases.
• Oversee incident reporting and records management and ensure consistency.
• Liaise with police, fire/EMS, and NHL security as needed.
• Develop and maintain Emergency Operating Plans and evacuation procedures.
• Provide direction to staff during emergencies and notify leadership as required.
• Research pre-event security plans and assist with strategies for venues.
