Job summary

HHM Hotels is seeking a Senior Area Sales Manager to lead strategic sales across a portfolio of properties, build executive-level client relationships, and drive revenue growth through proactive account management and disciplined planning.

You will coordinate across Revenue Management, Operations and Catering to execute large group bookings, penetrate new markets, mentor sales associates, and represent the portfolio at industry trade shows and events. Occasional travel required.

Qualifications

• 5 years of proven success in hospitality sales.
• Experience interviewing, training, and coaching sales staff.
• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Hospitality preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Interview, select, train, schedule, coach and support associates to meet hotel standards and HHM values.
• Architect and execute sales plans to maximize revenue across the portfolio.
• Identify and penetrate new market segments while optimizing revenue streams.
• Oversee area account management with documentation and strategic follow‑through for retention.
• Manage Tier 1 accounts and serve as primary contact for executive-level relationships.
• Coordinate with Revenue Management, Operations and Catering for large-scale accounts.
• Conduct deep-dive competitive analysis and leverage market trends for positioning.
• Represent the portfolio at industry trade shows and executive networking events.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

Essential Job Functions

• Interview, select, train, schedule, coach and support associates, ensuring they perform in accordance with established brand or hotel standards and consistent with HHM core values.


• Architect and execute comprehensive sales plans to maximize revenue across all facets of the hotel portfolio.


• Identify and penetrate new market segments while optimizing existing revenue streams.


• Oversee account management for the area, ensuring meticulous documentation and strategic follow-through for long-term retention.


• Manage and grow the portfolio’s most critical "Tier 1" accounts, serving as the primary point of contact for executive-level client relationships.


• Direct the integration of various departments (Revenue Management, Operations, Catering) to ensure flawless execution of large-scale accounts and group bookings.


• Conduct deep-dive competitive analysis and leverage market trends to position the portfolio as a leader within the local and regional landscape.


• Represent the hotel portfolio at premier industry trade shows and executive networking events, acting as a high-level ambassador for the brand.


• Perform other duties as requested by management

Position Requirements

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality or related industry preferred.


• 5 years of proven success in hospitality sales.
