Job summary

HF Sinclair seeks an Area Specialist to oversee and direct multiple aspects of the Operations Department. The role requires leading teams, optimizing unit performance and ensuring compliance with environmental and safety standards.

Key duties include developing procedures for startup/shutdown, coordinating with Engineering and Maintenance, and guiding MOC/LOTO processes. A minimum of 10 years’ experience and a Bachelor's degree are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of on-the-job experience required.
• Significant energy industry experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience required.

Responsibilities

• Keep assigned units running smoothly with products.
• Establish and implement operating procedures for unit optimization.
• Prepare start-up/shutdown procedures for equipment.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Maintenance, Training and Supervisors to prioritize work and ensure safe, profitable operations.
• Schedule and prioritize maintenance with maintenance teams.
