Job summary

NVR, the leading U.S. homebuilder, is seeking a Sr. Architectural Technician to join the Architectural Services Department.

You will develop detailed construction documents and contribute to BIM workflows using AutoCAD, supporting sales, permitting, and homebuilding processes. You will work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with mentorship opportunities, focusing on design development, code compliance, and production of high-quality drawings for residential projects across multiple

Qualifications

• 3+ years in architecture/engineering/construction.
• 3D modeling software preferred.
• Bachelor's or Associate degree or equivalent drafting/AutoCAD experience.
• Experience with design development and construction documentation.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Attention to detail, planning and organization.
• Experience in residential homebuilding preferred.
• Experience mentoring junior team members preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed residential construction documents (elevations, foundations, floor plans, sections, kitchens, baths, electrical layouts, stairs, framing).
• Apply guidelines on structure, construction, materials, options, roof framing, and building codes.
• Research and compile information with project team support.
• Maintain project schedule and log hours accurately.
• Review own work for quality and compliance to standards.
• Collaborate with Homebuilding, Manufacturing, Procurement and other departments as needed.
