Job summary

Jacobs seeks a Senior Architectural Subject Matter Expert to lead data center design across the U.S. portfolio, delivering architectural strategy, delivery excellence, and technical differentiation for hyperscale, colocation, and mission‑critical facilities.

You will guide site and building design, coordinate MEP and structural interfaces, mentor junior architects, and represent Jacobs in client engagements and industry forums.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture with licensure.
• 20+ years in architectural design, 15+ years in mission-critical/data center environments.
• Licensed Architect (RA) with strong knowledge of codes, ADA, and sustainability.
• Proven expertise in site planning, envelope design, modular construction and BIM.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural delivery across multiple data center programs, shaping design strategy.
• Coordinate complex MEP, telecommunications, security, and operational requirements.
• Mentor architects and contribute to thought leadership within Jacobs.
• Represent Jacobs in client engagements and industry forums to win and shape programs.
• Manage design reviews, quality assurance, and construction administration.
