Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Senior Architect Development Team Lead to guide architecture and development efforts for a government client. The role is based in the Washington DC metropolitan area with a hybrid schedule and remote work options.

You will lead a team, assess systems, elicit requirements, and ensure compliant, scalable solutions across multiple subsystems. The ideal candidate has extensive experience with Natural/ADABAS, Software AG tools, and strong program management and customer

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree; 15+ years in large-scale application design and development.
• Expert proficiency with Natural and ADABAS.
• Experience with Software AG’s NaturalONE Eclipse-based development environment.
• 5+ years’ project management experience.
• Experience defining requirements with customers; strong collaboration with stakeholders.
• Ability to design solutions across multiple systems and sub-systems.
• Familiarity with cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
• Proficiency with O365 tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of technical architects and developers.
• Assess existing background investigation support systems and processes.
• Interact with customers to understand requirements and program needs.
• Design scalable and efficient solution architectures.
• Ensure compliance with federal regulations and standards.
• Collaborate with development teams for implementation.
• Review and measure effectiveness of solutions.
• Provide expertise in federal contract and grants management.
• Use Jira for requirements tracking.
• Develop and maintain batch processing scripts (JCL) and data transfers (Connect Direct).
• Develop software using Natural with ADABAS; work with IBM MQ.
