Job summary

Hamilton Anderson Associates, Inc. is seeking an Architect III – Senior Architect to provide senior project leadership from concept to construction administration in Detroit, MI.

The role coordinates design decisions with clients, owners, and consultants, directs BIM and drawing efforts, and mentors team members. You will lead complex projects, oversee budgets and schedules, and ensure quality through code reviews and documentation.

Qualifications

• Professional degree from an NCARB-accredited school.
• Architectural license required.
• 12+ years of experience in architectural design and construction administration.
• 8+ years in a project leadership role.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Strong BIM and Revit expertise; knowledge of design/build approaches.

Responsibilities

• Provide project leadership across all phases from concept design to construction administration.
• Prepare strategic plans and oversee architectural aspects of construction projects.
• Make design decisions and coordinate with clients, consultants, and contractors.
• Maintain client communication to ensure contract conformance and satisfaction.
• Manage budgets, schedules, and documentation for complex projects.
• Estimate fees, determine scope, and prepare proposals and contracts for large projects.
• Lead consultant coordination for mid-size to large projects (>$10M).
• Document changes in scope with the Project Manager.
• Lead integrated project delivery with consultants, contractors, and owners.
• Attend meetings and prepare notes for stakeholders and clients.
• Focus on client satisfaction and identify future services.
