Job summary

Brigham Young University is seeking an Architect to provide comprehensive planning, architectural design, and project management for remodeling, renovation, and new construction across campus. You will serve as the primary architectural representative, ensuring standards, budgets, and schedules are met.

Responsibilities include programming, documentation, consultant coordination, and project closeout, with licensure in some assignments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture from an accredited program or equivalent education and experience.
• Ten years of progressively responsible experience in an architectural office or institutional facilities planning environment.
• Five years of professional experience using Autodesk Revit, Autodesk AutoCAD, and Bluebeam Revu.
• Current Utah Architect license.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary project manager and architectural lead for assigned in-house construction projects.
• Lead Design Project Manager and/or Architect of Record on select contract projects.
• Serve as the University's architectural representative for assigned projects designed by outside consultants.
• Architectural Review & Sealing – review and seal projects requiring an architectural seal as assigned.
• Maintain knowledge and involvement in assigned projects to provide professional oversight and direction.
• Demonstrate professionalism and alignment with BYU mission and values.
