Job summary

Burgess & Niple seeks a Senior Architect to lead projects from concept through construction administration. You will coordinate multi-disciplinary design efforts, mentor junior staff, and serve as primary client contact on civic, higher education, industrial, and government projects.

You will manage budgets, guide design documents, and ensure quality control while maintaining autonomy and collaboration with experienced architects and engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Architecture required; NAAB‑accredited preferred. Master of Architecture from NAAB‑accredited program also preferred.
• Registered Architect in the state of employment, or eligibility for reciprocal licensure through NCARB certification.
• 15+ years of experience
• Advanced abilities in Revit, Bluebeam, and MS Office
• Expertise in developing detailed design documents and specifications
• Exceptional attention to detail with design excellence
• Entrepreneurial mindset with proactive problem solving
• Servant leader committed to collaboration, innovation and developing others

Responsibilities

• Lead comprehensive project design from conceptual development through final construction.
• Manage all phases of architectural design and documentation with full project ownership.
• Serve as primary client contact and maintain strong professional relationships.
• Interface with clients to understand project goals and present design solutions.
• Manage project budgets, provide technical leadership to junior staff, and oversee quality control for medium to large projects
