Job summary

Burgess & Niple invites a Senior Architect to lead projects from concept design through construction administration. You will coordinate multi-disciplinary design efforts and mentor junior staff, enjoying autonomy to drive design initiatives on civic, higher education, industrial, and government projects.

Required: NAAB-accredited Bachelor of Architecture; state registration or NCARB reciprocity; 15+ years of experience; proficiency in Revit, Bluebeam, and MS Office. Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Architecture required; NAAB-accredited preferred; Master of Architecture also preferred.
• Registered Architect in the state of employment or eligible for reciprocal licensure via NCARB.
• 15+ years of experience in architecture/design.
• Advanced abilities in developing detailed design documents and specifications.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with proactive problem solving; servant leadership to foster collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead comprehensive project design from conceptual development through final construction.
• Manage all phases of architectural design and documentation with full project ownership.
• Serve as primary client contact, building and maintaining strong professional relationships.
• Interface with clients to understand project goals and present design solutions.
• Manage project budgets, provide technical leadership to junior staff, and oversee QA/QC for medium to large projects.
