Job summary

Stantec in Arlington, VA is seeking an Architect on our Buildings Government Service team to work independently with clients, guiding design from concept through construction while ensuring code compliance and cost awareness.

You will develop designs using BIM, review drawings, lead project coordination, support business development, and coordinate with internal teams, owners, and consultants to deliver high-quality documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience.
• Registered Architect license is required.
• LEED Certification preferred.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning, organization, and directing of work throughout the life cycle of the project.
• Engage in the development of design through sketches, modeling, diagrams, massing studies, and other visual formats.
• Utilize BIM technologies in the development of three-dimensional models of buildings and their components.
• Conduct thorough inspections of buildings and structures to ensure code compliance.
• Review shop drawings and submittals, respond to RFIs, and prepare site observation reports.
