Job summary

Stantec’s Buildings team in Seattle seeks a Senior Project Architect to lead the AE team, manage multi-disciplinary projects, and deliver design and construction drawings for high-value federal building projects. This role requires licensure in WA and deep knowledge of UFC, WA codes, and IBC.

You’ll mentor staff, coordinate with project managers, and supervise the production of BIM models, drawings, and specifications across design phases.

Qualifications

• Licensed architect in the State of Washington with 15+ years as a project architect.
• Experience with UFC, WA building codes, and IBC is required.
• Ability to lead design teams and deliver architectural drawings and specs.
• Knowledge of design-build and design-bid-build delivery methods.
• Strong communication, leadership, and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute and deliver well-coordinated project documents as a project architect on time.
• Manage a team in producing architectural design solutions and construction drawings.
• Lead project meetings and coordinate all disciplines (in-house and external) on multi-disciplinary projects.
• Mentor architectural staff and provide guidance.
• Act as architectural technical lead for reviews and QC of models and drawings.
