Job summary

Larson Design Group is seeking a Senior Architect in Orlando to lead project design teams, partner with clients and developers, and ensure deliverables meet design intent, codes, schedules, and quality. You will mentor staff and contribute to proposals, budgeting, and labor-hour estimating.

Minimum twelve years of experience, a NAAB‑accredited degree, and RA with NCARB certification are required. A collaborative, client-focused approach helps translate brand vision into high-performing spaces.

Qualifications

• Minimum of twelve (12) years of job-related experience.
• Bachelor of Architecture (5-year) or Master of Architecture (6-year) from a NAAB-accredited institution is required.
• Registered Architect (RA) with NCARB certification required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and architectural design of projects, demonstrating advanced design expertise and the ability to manage technically complex and schedule-driven work.
• Review and refine work produced by project team members to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with brand standards, prototype requirements, and project objectives.
• Prepare and oversee the development of detailed construction documents with a strong focus on constructability, coordination, and efficient delivery.
• Apply expert knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, accessibility requirements, and local jurisdictional standards to resolve design challenges and ensure compliance.
• Collaborate closely with internal disciplines, consultants, developers, and contractors to promote effective communication and coordination throughout all phases of project delivery.
• Conduct final QA/QC reviews to ensure deliverables meet quality standards, client requirements, and schedule expectations prior to release.
• Support project managers and leadership in proposal development, scope definition, budgeting, and labor-hour estimating, providing technical insight aligned with commercial project delivery models.
• Partner directly with clients, retailers, and developers to define, communicate, and refine project scope, translating brand vision and operational needs into successful design solutions.
• Mentor and guide architectural staff, fostering professional growth, technical excellence, and continuous improvement within the team.
