Job summary

Collins Aerospace seeks a senior architect to lead the next generation of avionics networking products. You will define scalable architectures for deterministic Ethernet switches, integrate ARINC 664 Part 7 / AFDX with TSN, and drive decisions on topology, latency, redundancy, and safety-critical considerations.

The role requires a STEM degree with 10+ years of experience (advanced degree preferred) and extensive hardware/software/firmware coordination across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Requires STEM degree and minimum 10 years of relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field.
• Experience in avionics network architecture and deterministic networking.
• Knowledge of ARINC 664 Part 7 / AFDX and TSN technologies.
• Experience with Ethernet switching, VLANs, QoS, and network performance analysis.
• Strong systems integration experience across hardware, software, and firmware.

Responsibilities

• Architect the next generation of avionics networking products and establish a scalable architectural roadmap.
• Lead architecture decisions across port count, topology, latency, redundancy, and interface technologies.
• Coordinate hardware, software, firmware, systems, safety, and cybersecurity engineering to deliver a coherent networking architecture.
