Job summary

ISG, a multi-disciplinary architecture, engineering, planning and interior design firm, is seeking a Senior Architect in Des Moines, IA. You will lead the Iowa architecture team, own design direction, and build client relationships while mentoring staff to deliver high‑impact projects.

You’ll drive project success from concept to completion, manage budgets and quality control, and collaborate across ISG’s network to create meaningful community outcomes.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional design experience and licensed to practice architecture.
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree from an accredited architecture program.
• Experience in K-12, Sports + Recreation and Government + Cultural projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Iowa architecture team with growth and strategic direction.
• Grow client relationships as trusted advisor and identify opportunities.
• Lead design efforts from concept to completion with client focus.
• Build and develop the team by mentoring and delegating responsibilities.
• Own project performance: budgets, work plans, contracts, quality control.
• Leverage multidisciplinary expertise to pursue innovative, impactful solutions.
