Job summary

LCS is seeking a Project Architect (Design Manager) in Des Moines to lead the design process, coordinate disciplines, and ensure budget, schedule, and quality align with program goals.

The role requires a BA/BS in Architecture or construction management, a Registered Architect or candidate, 4–8 years in relevant projects, and strong collaboration with architects, interior designers, and contractors. Travel 26-50% and a comprehensive benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Architecture or construction management is required.
• Registered Architect or currently in the testing process.
• 4–8 years postgraduate experience on multi-family, healthcare or hospitality projects.
• Minimum 3 years project management experience.
• Knowledge of senior living product lines including CCRC and Assisted Living.
• Must be detail oriented and able to collaborate with architectural firms, interior design firms, and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Directs the design process and coordinates all design disciplines to meet standards and design expectations.
• Administers all design agreements, including basic and additional services.
• Supports the design process to ensure compliance with the design program and codes.
• Selects architectural and consultant teams and processes payments for approvals.
• Negotiates and executes architectural and consultant agreements.
• Knowledge of materials and systems to meet budget and enable efficient construction.
