Tonab Architecture, PLLC is seeking a Licensed Architect with 10+ years of experience to join our New York City office in a senior role. This position leads projects, develops staff, maintains high technical standards, and contributes to the firm's growth.

The successful candidate will supervise design and construction documentation, coordinate across disciplines, mentor team members, and ensure quality and timely delivery with strong Revit knowledge being a bonus.

Qualifications

• Licensed Architect with 10+ years of experience.
• Senior leadership across projects, staff management and QA/QC.
• Ability to manage multiple teams and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior member of the office management team, guiding project, staffing, and operations decisions.
• Lead and manage architectural staff across multiple projects, with clear priorities and accountability.
• Oversee technical quality and completeness of project documentation per QA/QC standards.
• Direct development and coordination of design and construction documents across internal teams and consultants.
• Manage workloads, staffing, schedules, and deliverables to support project execution.
• Translate client objectives and design intent into clear direction for project teams.
• Mentor team members through guidance and feedback.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, contractual and client requirements, addressing risks and coordination issues.

We are seeking an accomplished architect to provide project and team leadership while overseeing the design and construction documentation process for our in-office architectural staff.

About the Role

ABOUT THE ROLEThe successful candidate will serve as a senior member of the firm, providing leadership across projects, people, and technical execution. This individual will manage staff, oversee project delivery and technical quality, coordinate work across disciplines, participate in client and stakeholder meetings, and ensure projects meet design intent, contractual requirements, schedules, and firm quality standards. The ideal candidate brings strong architectural judgment, project leadership experience, and the ability to manage multiple teams and priorities while maintaining accountability for quality and execution. Knowledge of Revit is a plus, but not required.

What you will do
