Tonab Architecture, PLLC is seeking a Licensed Architect with 10+ years of experience to join our New York City office in a senior role. This position is designed for an experienced architect who can lead projects, manage and develop staff, maintain high technical standards, and contribute to the firm's continued growth and effectiveness.

ABOUT OUR FIRM

Tonab Architecture, PLLC is a small New York architecture firm serving the K–12 education, aviation, and healthcare sectors. We are seeking an accomplished architect to provide project and team leadership while overseeing the design and construction documentation process for our in-office architectural staff.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The successful candidate will serve as a senior member of the firm, providing leadership across projects, people, and technical execution. This individual will manage staff, oversee project delivery and technical quality, coordinate work across disciplines, participate in client and stakeholder meetings, and ensure projects meet design intent, contractual requirements, schedules, and firm quality standards.

The ideal candidate brings strong architectural judgment, project leadership experience, and the ability to manage multiple teams and priorities while maintaining accountability for quality and execution.

Knowledge of Revit is a plus, but not required.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Serve as a senior member of the office management team and contribute to project, staffing, and operational decisions.
• Lead and manage architectural staff across multiple projects, establishing priorities, expectations, and accountability.
• Oversee the technical quality and completeness of project documentation and ensure adherence to firm QA/QC standards.
• Direct the development and coordination of design and construction documents across internal teams, consultants, and disciplines.
• Manage project workloads, staffing requirements, schedules, and deliverables to support successful project execution.
• Translate client objectives, project requirements, and design intent into clear direction for project teams.
• Mentor and develop team members through ongoing guidance, constructive feedback, and knowledge sharing.
• Ensure projects comply with applicable statutory, contractual, technical, and client requirements, proactively addressing risks and coordination issues.
• Lead client, consultant, stakeholder, and internal project meetings while supporting strong communication and successful project delivery.
