Job summary

ERM is seeking a Managing Technical Consultant, Archaeologist to lead multidisciplinary cultural resources projects across the United States. You will oversee field surveys, reports, and regulatory duties while mentoring archaeologists and expanding ERM's client base.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, business development, and collaborative work across ERM's global organization, with travel across the country and strong emphasis on client service.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or related field plus 8+ years paid experience.
• Ability to obtain archaeological and cultural resource permits.
• Experience as primary author on agency-reviewed technical reports.
• Strong documentation and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Oversee archaeological studies and cultural resource projects from planning through completion.
• Provide technical consulting to grow ERM's archaeology business.
• Interact with ERM practice areas for multi-disciplinary collaboration.
• Represent ERM with state, federal, and local agencies.
• Manage subcontractors and lead fieldwork as needed.
