Job summary

ERM is seeking a Managing Technical Consultant, Archaeologist to lead multidisciplinary cultural resources projects across the United States. You will guide teams, mentor staff, and foster client relationships while expanding ERM's presence in the cultural resources market.

The role combines technical leadership with project management and business development, involving coordination with ERM's global organization and regulatory engagement. Travel within the US is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or closely related field plus 8+ years of experience.
• Experience as primary author on agency-reviewed technical reports.
• Proficiency with permitting regulations for cultural resources (e.g., FERC, USACE, THC).
• Demonstrated ability to carry research to completion.
• Ability to obtain archaeological and cultural resource permits.

Responsibilities

• Oversee archaeological studies and cultural resource projects from planning through completion.
• Provide technical consulting to expand ERM's archaeology business and client base.
• Interact with ERM practice areas to share resources and best practices across the country.
• Lead and supervise staff in office and field settings; manage subcontractors.
