Job summary

ERM is seeking a Managing Technical Consultant, Archaeologist to lead multidisciplinary cultural resource projects across the United States. You will oversee teams, guide project delivery from planning to completion, and advise clients and regulatory stakeholders while expanding ERM's cultural resources footprint.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, business development, and mentoring, with opportunities to collaborate across ERM's global organization and to shape responsible development

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or closely related field.
• 8+ years of related paid experience or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain archaeological permits.
• Experience completing inventory, survey, testing, and/or data recovery.
• Authoring agency-reviewed technical reports.

Responsibilities

• Oversee archaeological studies and cultural resource projects from planning through completion.
• Provide technical consulting to support ERM's archaeology business and client base.
• Interact with ERM practice areas to share cross-disciplinary resources.
• Represent ERM with state, federal, and local agencies.
• Communicate regularly with clients via email and phone conferences.
• Manage subcontractors and field teams.
• Prepare proposals to meet client needs.
• Lead and mentor personnel for the technical team.
