Jacobs seeks a Senior Archaeologist to support planning, engineering, and construction across the western United States, delivering desktop and field-based cultural resources expertise for government, military, and private clients.

The role emphasizes NHPA/NEPA compliance, leadership, mentorship, and the ability to manage large projects with cross-disciplinary teams. Hybrid/remote options across the US West are available.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Anthropology or Archaeology is required.
• Secretary of the Interior’s Professional Qualifications Standards for Archaeology must be met.
• Minimum of 10 years of professional archaeological fieldwork experience.
• 3 to 5 years experience as a Principal Investigator.
• Ability to travel frequently and for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Track and provide updates on discipline-specific topics and regulatory changes.
• Lead large, complex cultural resource projects and staff.
• Serve as primary client contact for large programs and controversial projects.
• Mentor career and associate professionals and support business development.
• Coordinate with geographies and provide senior reviews.
