Job summary

ERM is seeking an experienced Senior Consultant, Field Lead Archaeologist to direct fieldwork and regulatory analyses across the United States. This full-time role focuses on identifying and protecting cultural resources while informing environmental decisions.

The position requires a Master’s in Anthropology/Archaeology (or equivalent) with 3+ years of field experience, strong regulatory knowledge of NHPA Section 106, and the ability to travel up to 75% of the time to field sites across the

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or related field or equivalent experience.
3+ years (4+ preferred) of professional archaeology experience.
Eligibility to be listed on cultural resource permits (BLM, ARPA, etc.).
Ability to travel to field sites across the United States and lead field efforts.

Responsibilities

Conduct archaeological surveys, testing, data recovery, and monitoring at project sites.
Prepare technical report sections for cultural resource investigations and environmental documents.
Collaborate with regulatory agencies including SHPO and BLM.
Lead field efforts independently or with a multidisciplinary team.
Represent ERM in client, stakeholder, and agency interactions.
