Job summary

Bartlett Tree Experts is seeking an Arborist Crew Leader in Santa Barbara, CA. Lead a tree care crew to safely perform arboriculture tasks, supervise work, and mentor team members on site.

The role requires three years of tree climbing (DdRT/SRT) and aerial lift experience, plus a valid driver's license. You will operate equipment and ensure work meets industry and company standards while fostering client relationships.

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years of tree climbing experience (DdRT or SRT) and aerial lift experience.
• Valid driver's license (Class B CDL preferred).
• Ability to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions.
• Proven initiative, positive attitude, team-oriented and self-motivated.

Responsibilities

• Safely performing and supervising all aspects of arboriculture including pruning, cabling and bracing, rigging, removals.
• Properly maintaining and operating equipment (hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts).
• Supervising and managing crews while performing tree care services as directed by the Arborist Representative and Local Manager.
• Ensuring crew members are trained for each designated job assignment.
• Ensuring work complies with industry and company standards.
• Communicating with clients and building relationships.
• Passion for nature, environment and outdoors.
