Job summary

KBW Financial Staffing & Recruiting has partnered with a well-established organization in Lowell, MA to recruit a Senior Accounts Receivable Specialist. This role supports accounts receivable, credit, collections, and related financial activities within a collaborative accounting team.

The ideal candidate has 5–8 years of AR/collections/credit experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and proficiency with Excel and ERP systems. SAP experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5–8 years of Accounts Receivable, Collections, Credit, or related experience.
• Strong credit and collections background.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Excel and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts receivable and customer credit activities.
• Monitor outstanding balances and support collection efforts.
• Evaluate customer creditworthiness and assist with credit decisions.
• Research and resolve billing and payment discrepancies.
• Perform account reconciliations and maintain accurate customer records.
• Partner cross-functionally to resolve customer account issues.
• Assist with month- and quarter-end close activities.
• Prepare AR reporting and analysis for management.
• Support internal controls, audits, and compliance requirements.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.

Senior Accounts Receivable Specialist
