Job summary

Moloco is hiring a Senior Applied Scientist for the Product Analytics Data Science team in the U.S. region, focusing on improving Moloco Ads and Commerce platforms through advanced data analysis and ML solutions.

You will collaborate with product, engineering, and other scientists to translate business requirements into scientifically sound solutions, drive experiments, and improve online prediction systems while balancing performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or related field.
• At least 4 years of engineering or applied science experience.
• Proficient verbal and written English communication skills.
• Ability to learn new technical skills across engineering, ML, and data science.
• Track record of collaborating with cross-functional partners in a global company.

Responsibilities

• Conducting deep-dive analysis to influence R&D decisions and strategies, analyzing large datasets and extracting actionable insights to improve ML and bidding systems.
• Building metrics to measure campaign health and understanding cause-and-effect across drivers.
• Evaluating ads system health by diagnosing issues using input/output metrics for each component.
• Work with other applied scientists on projects to evaluate health of internal/external components and ensure safety and efficiency of Moloco system.
• Learn from senior peers to identify new areas to improve infrastructure and ML components and propose next steps.
• Complete tasks as part of larger projects to perform deep unbiased analyses and implement new algorithms and features in collaboration with engineers.
