Job summary

Launch Potato is seeking a hands-on Senior Data Scientist to own the data science engine for a priority vertical, from business problem to deployed model and live ROAS performance. You will closely partner with stakeholders, build and validate models, and hand the ML engineering work to an engineer for deployment, monitoring, and performance analysis.

You will begin with Insurance and Advertiser Quality, expanding scope over time.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a hands-on, in-the-weeds applied data science role delivering measurable business impact.
• Experience building and deploying ML models in AWS cloud.
• Experience with multi-armed bandit, reinforcement learning, and ranking systems.

Responsibilities

• Own the full data science engine for a priority vertical, from problem to deployed model and live ROAS performance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, validate models, hand off to ML engineering for last mile deployment.
• Focus initially on Insurance and Advertiser Quality with ROAS as primary metric.
• Deliver models that improve ROAS and lead quality across brands.
