Job summary

Outreach, founded in 2014, seeks a Senior Applied Scientist in Seattle to design and productionize ML systems that transform voice streams, transcripts, and CRM data into actionable sales intelligence. You’ll work on agentic AI capabilities, balancing ML research with production engineering in a hybrid environment.

You will prototype, deploy, and optimize low-latency AI pipelines, collaborating with engineers and product managers to deliver real-time insights that drive revenue outcomes.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience implementing ML and NLP systems, including LLM-based architectures.
• Master’s Degree or PhD in relevant field such as computer science or ML.
• Strong foundation in statistics and experiment design.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, Go, or C++, with solid software engineering skills.
• Experience developing and deploying cloud-based AI applications.

Responsibilities

• Build AI-powered systems that process voice streams and real-time transcriptions to extract structured intelligence, contextual signals, and actionable insights.
• Engineer high-availability AI pipelines across distributed components to ensure low-latency, reliable workflows.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure customers have AI-driven capabilities on the Outreach platform.
• Rapidly prototype ML and LLM solutions to validate approaches and accelerate iteration on complex problems.
• Optimize across the stack to maximize ROI for key pain points, from model architecture to service orchestration.
• Contribute to Outreach’s visible AI surfaces, shaping customer experiences with next-generation agentic AI.
