evoke in New York, NY is seeking a Senior Applied AI Engineer for an on-site role. You will work on the operating system for independent retail, building AI-powered agents to run stores. You’ll own projects end-to-end, shipping production AI/ML features, and collaborating with a small, focused team in a fast-growing Series A environment.

Qualifications

5+ years building and shipping AI/ML products in production.
Hands-on experience with LLM agents, retrieval, evals and the full model lifecycle.
Wants to own outcomes end-to-end and move fast.
Bonus: post-training/fine-tuning open-source models, retrieval/ranking, forecasting or pricing.

Responsibilities

Develop agents that set prices and optimize inventory movement.
Detect theft and costly operational mistakes from patterns across sales, staffing and inventory data.
Read messy supplier documents and turn them into structured data that drives inventory and payments.
Forecast demand and optimize ordering and staff scheduling.
Build evaluation systems to prove agents improve revenue and save time.
