Rengo AI in New York City is seeking an experienced software engineer to build AI-powered data solutions for asset managers and portfolio companies. You will own delivery end-to-end from discovery to production using Python, FastAPI, Temporal, and React.

The role emphasizes autonomy, working closely with the founding team, and shaping customer-specific technical roadmaps while leveraging LLMs on native infrastructure. On-site 5 days in NYC with equity participation is offered.

Qualifications

• 1-6+ yrs software engineering.
• Interest in customer-facing applied AI / forward-deployed work.
• Python backend + React; LLMs in production.
• Comfort with ambiguity; on-site 5 days NYC.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with asset managers and portfolio companies to build custom AI-powered data solutions.
• Own end-to-end delivery from discovery to production (Python, FastAPI, Temporal, React).
• Curate customer-specific technical roadmaps: part PM, part engineer.
• Use LLMs/agents heavily on AI-native internal infra.
• High-autonomy work with founding team.
