Job summary

AMBSIMS & Associates Corp is seeking a Senior Product Engineer for AI Developer Tools in New York City, on-site five days a week. You will own developer-facing features from ideation to production, build full-stack apps with React and robust back-end systems, and shape APIs, SDKs, and tooling for developers.

Ideal candidates bring 7+ years of hands-on experience, strong frontend with React, backend depth, and applied AI or coding-agent workflow experience; relocation to NYC is expected for this

Qualifications

• At least seven years of relevant, hands-on full-stack product engineering experience.
• Ownership of a meaningful product built from concept to production in a startup or high-growth environment.
• Strong, recent experience with React and modern frontend development.
• Meaningful backend engineering experience alongside frontend expertise.
• Experience making consequential systems-design and architecture decisions.
• Experience building products used by developers or engineers.
• Familiarity with building APIs, SDKs, or developer-facing tooling.
• Experience at a developer tools or infrastructure startup building products for engineers.
• A specific example of shipped applied AI functionality or substantial agentic or coding-agent workflow experience.
• Ability to work on-site in New York City five days per week.
• Authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
• Compensation expectations consistent with the stated base salary range.

Responsibilities

• Own developer-facing products and features from ideation and technical design through implementation, deployment, and iteration.
• Build full-stack applications using React, modern frontend technologies, and robust backend systems.
• Translate developer needs into intuitive interfaces, APIs, SDKs, and tooling.
• Make systems-design and architecture decisions that support reliability, maintainability, and growth.
• Develop applied AI capabilities or improve agentic and coding-agent workflows.
• Partner with product, design, and engineering colleagues to define requirements, prioritize work, and deliver useful products.
• Gather user feedback and refine products after launch.
• Balance delivery speed with engineering quality and sound technical decisions.
• Remain directly involved in coding, troubleshooting, and production delivery.
