Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals, based in Fort Mill, South Carolina, seeks a software architect to support IT systems and applications through development, integration, and deployment. You will apply software engineering knowledge to ensure performance and interoperability across environments and drive scalable, reliable solutions.

Responsibilities include designing high-availability architectures, disaster recovery planning, and continuous improvement of monitoring, logging, and self-healing capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Computer Engineering, or related field; 7 years of software architect experience.
• Experience managing full product lifecycle from development to support.
• Experience with Java, Cloud, UNIX/Linux/Aix environments and cloud-based apps.
• Experience with distributed databases (Oracle, Cassandra, MongoDB, SQL, SQL Server).
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (Splunk, Dynatrace).
• Platform orchestration using REST and JSON APIs.

Responsibilities

• Support IT systems and applications through development, integration, and deployment.
• Ensure performance, interoperability, and scalability of applications.
• Maintain and improve reliability via logging, monitoring, and self-healing systems.
• Plan and implement high availability, disaster recovery, and resiliency initiatives.
• Develop and maintain SLAs for services and operations.
• Coordinate with IT and infrastructure teams to resolve issues.
