Job description

Asahi Kasei America, Inc. is seeking a full‑time hybrid IT Application Support Manager located in Charlotte, NC.

Position: Full time / Hybrid – Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm (3 days in office, 2 days working from home). Location: 3540 Toringdon Way, Suite 200, Room 259, Charlotte, NC 28277.

Responsibilities

• Define team objectives and assign project and operational tasks to direct reports.
• Manage projects of various sizes and oversee functional area technology evaluation, selection, implementation, and administration.
• Collaborate with IT team members at all levels and business key‑users to set priorities, schedule activities, and ensure application availability and performance.
• Ensure safe code‑push execution and handle technical requests.
• Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives and propose improvements.
• Facilitate knowledge sharing among team members.
• Dispatch tasks, delegate responsibilities, and organize team workflow.
• Maintain team service continuity.
• Handle performance processes: goals setting, mid‑year, and year‑end performance reviews.
• Perform basic HR management: training, turnover management, recruitment (worldwide).

Qualifications

• Minimum two (2) years of experience as an IT application support analyst, application analyst, or closely related role.
• Experience with software reliability engineering.
• Experience supporting business applications – Dynamics AX 4 and AX 2012, MES, internal manufacturing and quality related applications.
• Knowledge of separator business production processes.
• Experience leading a team of skilled engineers remotely.
• Familiarity with IT software/systems architecture.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft ecosystem (Windows Server, SQL Server, IIS).
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 and Dynamics 365 Finance/Operations.
• Knowledge of web‑related technologies.
• PowerShell scripting skills.
• Knowledge of SQL and relational database fundamentals.
• Experience with Azure DevOps platform.
• Experience with Microsoft SCOM monitoring platform.
• Knowledge of data visualization tools.
• Experience with a monitoring platform.
• Experience with a supervision platform (SquaredUp).
• Experience with ServiceNow Enterprise Service Management (ESM).
