Job summary

MKS Instruments in the United States seeks a Senior Applications Engineer to partner with R&D, Engineering and customers to develop and launch new products and solutions. You will report to the Director of Product Management.

Key duties include providing technical support for worldwide VIPS product sales, performing customer site visits, demonstrating capabilities, defining custom configurations, pricing quotes, and delivering training.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering or Physical Science required.
• 5+ years in a design, applications, or manufacturing engineering role.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working with customers and internal staff.
• Experience or ability to learn vacuum technology, pressure control, and related systems.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for worldwide sales for VIPS products.
• Travel to customer sites to discuss features, integration, testing or installation.
• Work with Product Managers, Engineers, and Applications Engineers to resolve customer issues.
• Define and document custom customer configurations and price quotes.
• Prepare and participate in training programs on product capabilities.
