Job summary

Siemens in Wendell, NC is seeking a Sr Applications Engineer for a hybrid role (2-3 days in office, 2-3 days remote) to support the EA business unit. Location Wendell, NC, with relocation assistance available.

In this role you will translate customer specs into optimized technical solutions, develop layouts and cost models, lead vendor evaluations and RFQs, collaborate with Sales, and ensure a smooth handover from bid to execution with PMO and cross-functional teams. Travel less than 10%.

Qualifications

• 5+ years relevant experience in EA/engineering roles
• Experience with medium-voltage power distribution systems

Responsibilities

• Translate customer specifications into optimized technical solutions and scopes of work
• Develop layouts, single-line diagrams, and cost models
• Lead technical evaluations and vendor selections, including RFQs
• Partner with Sales to support discussions, negotiations, and presentations
• Ensure smooth handover from bid to execution with PMO and cross-functional teams
