Job summary

Okuma America Corporation is seeking an Applications Engineer to lead advanced milling solutions, including 4-axis/5-axis machining and laser-integrated processes. You will support sales, distributors, and customers with technical demonstrations, process development, and implementation of Okuma technologies across diverse industries.

The role requires travel to customer sites and trade shows, strong CNC knowledge, CAD/CAM experience, and the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or Trade Schooling.
• 3–5 years of machining experience with CNC machine tools.
• Experience supporting customers, distributors, or production teams in a technical environment.
• Ability to travel extensively to support customer visits, distributor activities, machine demonstrations, training programs, trade shows, and project-related initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide application engineering support for milling, 5-axis, and laser-integrated machining solutions.
• Partner with sales teams, distributors, and customers to develop and implement innovative manufacturing processes.
• Lead demonstrations, training programs, and technical evaluations that drive customer success and business growth.
• Support turnkey projects, machine validations, and process improvements from concept through production.
