Job summary

Haas Automation in Oxnard, CA seeks an Applications Engineer 4 to program, set up and operate CNC lathes and mills, including Haas Rotary products. You will work with customers by phone and in person to solve complex applications and machine capability problems.

Under supervision of the Applications Manager, you will contribute to trade shows, demos and post-sale support while leveraging your 5-axis and 3-axis CNC experience and CAD/CAM skills. Expect 20-35% travel.

Qualifications

• Must be a machining expert.
• Read and write advanced G-code for Fanuc controls.
• Excellent communication skills (telephone and interpersonal).
• Computer literate in MS Office, Word, and Excel.
• Must be an expert in a minimum of one CAD/CAM System.
• 20-35% travel required.

Responsibilities

• Works with the service department to provide high-quality customer service.
• Performs duties in preparation for trade shows or machine demonstrations.
• Offers expertise on Haas products including lathes, mills, and rotaries.
• Writes CNC programs using macros for 5-axis mills and 3-axis with sub spindle.
• Uses Call Manager and Avante System to track applications-related items.
• Diagnoses programming and mechanical issues to ensure successful demos.
