Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or combination of training and experience considered.
• Three years experience in programming and systems design.
• Epic Beaker Certification, Epic Orders Certification and/or any Epic Certification is preferred.
• Lab experience with Clinically or with lab instruments, interfaces or other IS Lab support.
• Data Innovations interface experience.
• Understanding of Epic Nephrology, Wound and Outpatient Rehab.

Responsibilities

• Orient and train new employees; schedule assigned employees; provide guidance and counsel to employees.
• Meet with user departments, IS staff and vendors to define and resolve application system problems.
• Analyze problems and determine efficient programming solutions.
• Develop specifications for software applications; design, code, test, debug, document and install software programs.
• Test and update software products with new releases.
• Coordinate testing and installation of new software packages and modifications from vendors.
• Design, program, test and install interfaces among systems.
• Manage complex IS multidisciplinary projects including planning and assignment.
• Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge by attending seminars.
• Participate in councils, QA teams and other committees.
• Maintain quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or related field
