Brown University Health is seeking an Applications Systems Analyst to analyze and program for selecting, implementing, and supporting application software, including interfaces that ensure a high-value, integrated information network across the organization.

Under supervision, the analyst will orient and train staff, supervise up to 3 analysts on project basis, meet with user departments and vendors, design, test, and install software, and maintain current technical knowledge to support hospital

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or a related field.
• A combination of computer-related technical training and increasing information systems management responsibility may substitute for a degree.
• Three years experience in programming and systems design.

Aufgaben

• Orient and train new employees; schedule assigned employees; provide guidance and counsel to employees; provide input to performance appraisal.
• On a project basis may provide functional supervision of Application System Analysts.
• Meet with personnel from user departments Information Services staff and vendors, to define and resolve application system problems.
• Analyze problems and determine most efficient and economical programming solution.
• Develop specifications for software applications; design, code, test, debug, document and install software programs.
