Role Summary

We are hiring for a new Technical Lead - FX Application Support based in the Capital Markets Foreign Exchange Division. The successful candidate will handle production support activities of all applications in the CMFX bucket, working with teams in the UK, US, Sri Lanka, and Singapore to ensure near 100% availability. As part of the IT Capital Markets FX Support Team, you will handle user support issues, problem analysis, and bug fixes, with deep-dive analysis into key applications.

Responsibilities

• Acts as Recovery Manager and escalation during recovery of major incidents, providing technical or domain expertise.
• Handles major incidents, defining and executing recovery tasks, planning break-fix changes, assessing impact, and ensuring timely escalation.
• Provides input into problem management and owns actions resulting from it.
• Follows ITSM processes to maintain SLA and SLO.
• Facilitates decision-making for change requests, understanding potential impacts on production systems.
• Provides application configuration, maintenance, and proposes system enhancements.
• Supports existing business users, resolving application errors, data discrepancies, and queries, liaising with software suppliers as needed.
• Defines acceptance tests for new or changed automated systems.
• Builds and applies relevant domain knowledge related to workflows, data pipelines, and business policies.
• Develops and maintains CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps or GitLab CI/CD.
• Integrates automated testing, code analysis, and security tools into CI/CD pipelines.
• Implements deployment strategies like blue-green and canary releases to minimize downtime.
• Sets up monitoring and alerting solutions (Datadog, Azure Monitor, etc.) to proactively address issues.
• Configures dashboards and reports for system health and performance.
• Responds to incidents, conducts root cause analysis, and implements preventive measures.

Nice to Have

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years' experience supporting FOREX applications.
• Scripting experience in Perl, Bash, or Python.
