Job summary

Abbott Laboratories in Wisconsin is seeking an experienced life sciences professional to join our diagnostics and next generation sequencing focus. You will receive and document customer communications, support the technical services team, and lead troubleshooting through root-cause investigations, design experiments, and data analysis.

You will prepare technical reports, develop training materials, and collaborate with development and marketing to implement new products.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences or related field.
10+ years of experience in the life sciences industry.
5+ years of experience in molecular diagnostics or clinical laboratory.
5+ years of experience in next generation sequencing.
Demonstrated advanced proficiency with molecular biology techniques and Real-Time PCR assays.
Knowledge of CAP, CLIA, IVDR, and FDA regulations.
Strong data analysis and statistical knowledge in biology/genetics.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, OneNote).
Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Receive and document incoming customer communications.
Troubleshoot and resolve customer questions related to reagents, consumables, and assay issues.
Lead troubleshooting through root cause investigation, experiment design, study execution, data analysis, and reporting.
Conduct bench level experiments in several product areas.
Prepare detailed technical protocols and experimental reports.
