Step Up For Students is seeking a Senior Application Processor to expertly manage complex applications, ensuring accuracy and full regulatory compliance. This role acts as a technical leader, mentoring staff and championing quality within the processing organization.

As a remote position in the United States, you will collaborate with Program, Compliance, Data, IT, and Customer Support teams, driving process improvements and documenting workflows to support scalable operations.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in relevant job functions or projects.
• 3–5 years of application processing experience.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced knowledge of documentation and policy guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage complex or exception-based applications from intake through approval.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including workflow redesign and automation opportunities.
• Analyze and validate complex documentation, income, assets, and verifications.
• Oversee UAT, defect validation, and readiness for releases.
• Serve as a go-to resource for processing guidelines and systems questions.
• Collaborate on development of system tools, reporting dashboards, and automation features.
• Conduct root-cause analysis and implement scalable corrective actions.
• Assist with business rules for eligibility and routing logic.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to align guidelines and workflows.
• Provide onboarding support and technical training to Level 1 staff.
